A Stewart Copeland modell egy hű kísérlet azon pergődob hangzásának reprodukálására, amelyet a The Police zenekarral és az akkori egyéb projektjeiben használt. A 0,5 mm-rel a szabványosnál (1 mm) vastagabb, 1,5 mm-es sárgaréz test, valamint a felső bőrön lévő Die-Cast öntött káva és az alsó bőrön lévő háromszorosan hajlított káva kombinációja erőteljes, átütő hangzást biztosít, amit Copeland így ír le: "a basszus zokogása a fület áthasító gitárhangzással párosulva".
